What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based web-content syndication format used for content distribution. Teradata University Network uses RSS feeds to deliver updated events, news and content to subscribers. It's a quick, convenient way to be notified when content that interests you appears on Teradata University Network.

How do you use RSS?

To take advantage of Teradata University Network's RSS capabilities, you should download a special RSS news reader that allows you to collect and display RSS feeds. Many free options are available, including:

Bloglines (web-based aggregator) http://www.bloglines.com/
NetNewsWire (Mac) http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/
Firefox (browser with integrated RSS features) http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
NewsGator (web-based aggregator and Microsoft Outlook integrated aggregator) http://www.newsgator.com/
FeedDemon (desktop aggregator) http://www.bradsoft.com/feeddemon/
Pluck (IE integrated RSS aggregator) http://www.pluck.com/
SharpReader (desktop aggregator) http://www.sharpreader.net/
YouSubscribe (Outlook integrated aggregator) http://www.attensa.com/

Whenever you see this RSS button, you'll be able to link to an RSS feed via your RSS reader.

An alternative method to downloading a dedicated news reader is to use a web-based news reader. For example, My Yahoo! users can now add RSS feeds directly to their personal page. http://my.yahoo.com/
