Travelocity is an undisputed industry leader in booking travel online. The company has grown to be the sixth-largest travel agency in the United States and the largest in Europe with sites in 12 languages.

Part of Travelocity's success is due to its enterprise data warehouse from Teradata, Teradata Customer Relationship Management, and Teradata Warehouse Miner – all of which enable targeted marketing, online personalization, and exemplary customer service.

Within the first year following Teradata implementation, Travelocity noted these changes:

  • Gross bookings and earnings improved by 100 percent
  • Gross profit margins improved 150 percent
  • Booker conversion rates rose to 8.9 percent — highest in the online travel services industry
