Darryl D. McDonald
Darryl McDonald leads Teradata’s Applications business globally including strategy, product development and customer engagement. He has more than thirty years of experience in helping companies accelerate growth and innovation with data and analytics. A key member of Teradata’s executive leadership team, McDonald passionately promotes market-oriented, innovative thinking throughout the company.
Previously as EVP of Business Development and CMO, McDonald was instrumental in expanding the Teradata brand and growing the business, while also spearheading strategic acquisitions. An avid ambassador of customer-centric marketing, McDonald was selected by ExecRank as a top ten marketing executive for 2012. He was also named among the “Top 100 Chief Marketing Officers around the world who truly ‘get it’ when it comes to social media” by Social Media Marketing Magazine.
Prior to his tenure as CMO, McDonald launched and led the company’s global consulting services division, achieving double-digit growth each year. He also led the Americas retail industry sales division, growing market share, revenue, and profit.
McDonald holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Georgia and serves on the university's Board of Advisors for the Terry School of Business. Active in his local community, McDonald is a member of the "Distinguished Clown Corp," a philanthropic organization that benefits Children's Healthcare of Atlanta pediatric hospital. He and his wife live near Atlanta, Georgia.
