McDonald’s career with Teradata spans more than 30 years with leadership positions in marketing, R&D, business development, consulting services, and sales across both analytics and marketing applications domains. He is a key member of Teradata’s executive team, formerly serving as the president of Teradata Marketing Applications, where he expanded the product portfolio and deepened marketing talent through strategic acquisitions. Other prior roles include executive vice president of business development, chief marketing officer, and vice president of global field operations.
McDonald graduated from the University of Georgia, and he serves on the university's Board of Advisors for the Terry School of Business. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Terri and son Dean.
