Latest Study Ranks Teradata as Most Innovative Technology Leader
Leadership based on a passionate commitment to offering customers the most advanced technology solutions
Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the leading analytic data solutions company, announced today that for the third year, the Information Difference research firm ranked Teradata as the global leader in technology innovation with the world’s happiest data warehousing customers, as compared to its major competitors.
"Teradata topped our technology ranking for the third successive year, based on their continued strong investment in data warehouse technology, and the consistently strong customer reference feedback that we once again received from a large number of their customer references," said Andy Hayler, chief executive officer and co-founder of The Information Difference.
“Our technology leadership is based on a passionate commitment to helping customers be successful by providing them with the most advanced technology solutions,” said Scott Gnau, president, Teradata Labs. “For example, a recent innovation enables business users to ask any question, against any data, with any analytic, at any time. This is made possible by the Teradata Unified Data Architecture that leverages the complementary value of best-in-class technologies from Teradata, Teradata Aster, and open source Apache™ Hadoop.”
The technology dimension position is derived from a weighted set of scores based on four factors: customer satisfaction as measured by a survey of reference customers, analyst impressions of the technology, maturity of the technology and breadth of technology in terms of coverage against the Information Difference functionality model.
As compared with its main competitors, Teradata customers were the most satisfied based on a survey of reference customers.
