WASHINGTON, DC — Sixteen Teradata EPIC Awards winners were named in an awards ceremony held last night at PARTNERS, the Teradata User Group Conference and Expo, to honor global customers and partners.  Winners and finalists were recognized by Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the analytic data solutions company, for outstanding achievement in the use of data analytics to create business value.

"This year, we’ve reached a milestone. This is our fifth anniversary – five years of recognizing our customers and partners for leadership, innovation and excellence in analytics and business intelligence. We have entries from all parts of Teradata – from Aprimo, from Teradata Aster, from our Claraview division, from all three of our regions, from 10 global industries," said Darryl McDonald, executive vice president, Applications, Business Development and chief marketing officer, Teradata.

The awards program recognized Teradata customers for their extraordinary innovation in use of data analytics to create competitive advantage, and Independent Software Vendors and Systems Integrators who have made outstanding business and technology contributions to Teradata and its customers. The award recognizes the systems integrator (SI) who has driven the most Teradata data warehouse wins during the past year.

The panel of judges included chief information officers, analysts, educators, journalists and technology leaders across industry. They evaluated and ranked all of the submissions to select the finalists and winners. Each winner received a custom-designed Teradata EPIC Awards crystal trophy.
