DAYTON, Ohio — Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC) today announced that the Brazilian magazine publishing group, Grupo Padrão, named Teradata products and services the best data warehousing and business intelligence solution of 2007. 

The Standard Award for Quality which is bestowed by Grupo Padrão is the only award in the Brazilian market that evaluates the impact of technology in business enterprises. The award was designed to recognize those companies that have contributed to the development of management best practices through the use of information technology.
 

More than 350 nominees in more than 70 categories were evaluated. "Teradata feels honored to be recognized from among such a large number of great companies," said Katia Vaskys, general director of Teradata in Brazil. "This supports Teradata's commitment to help companies raise the intelligence of their enterprises by providing the insight they need to make smarter, faster decisions."
 

Teradata was nominated by one of its Brazilian customers, Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de Sao Paulo (SABESP), one of the largest providers of water services and sewage treatment in the world. SABESP deployed a Teradata system for the first time in 2005. The current expansion was completed in December 2006 to enable the use of new applications and the access of 500 concurrent users in many divisions including: business services, human resources, storage and supplies, and operations.
