Co-President Teradata Corporation
Hermann Wimmer is co-president of Teradata and leads the Data and Analytics Division. In this position Wimmer is responsible for driving Teradata’s Unified Data Architecture™, data warehousing, big data analytics and cloud business to future growth. He is also leading Teradata Learning and Global Alliances.
Since January 2013 Wimmer has been president of the International region, including Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. Under Wimmer’s leadership, the International region grew revenue eight percent in constant currency in 2014 and averaged 10 percent in constant currency revenue growth. Wimmer has built a record of developing new and emerging markets, successfully growing customer accounts and integrating acquisitions.
Prior to this, Wimmer was in charge of Teradata’s EMEA business. Wimmer has contributed considerably to Teradata’s extraordinary success in Europe. Before taking over the EMEA business in 2004 he led Teradata’s Central Europe operations. From July 1999 until the spin-off of Teradata from NCR Corporation in October 2007, he was also head of management for NCR GmbH Germany.
Wimmer joined NCR in 1996 as a member of the German Executive Management Board and was responsible for the indirect business as well as multimedia business in Germany. In 1998, he was promoted to lead NCR’s business in the Eastern European territories. Prior to joining NCR, he spent ten years with the French technology company, Bull, where he held various management positions in sales, marketing and services.
